Not sure if this is the right place to put this.

As I said in my other post we did a little duck hunting this weekend. We took the boys young dogs with cause mine was getting old. But Sunday morning she just would not hear of staying home again. So I loaded her in the tuck( had to pick her up and put her in) and meet my brother at the lake. At first light ducks started coming in. I knocked one down and out she went. When she got to the bank I went to get the duck and she dropped it and looked up at then she laid down.

So this post is for my old duck hunting buddy Gracie cause she is not with me any more. But she went doing what she love to do.

Here is a pic from a few year back after one of our outings.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My lab who just turned 2 and had been through training and everything was run over at my deer camp 2 years ago - it hit me harder than I thought it would for a grown man to lose a dog. I have not replaced him yet - takes time to get in the mindset of starting back over again. Good luck and looks like you have a good crew to help you in getting the young dogs ready.

Thanks, Gracie got hit by a car when she was young too she broke her hips. They said she had a 50/50 chance of walking again. But God put his hands on her and 2 months later she was up and walking and back in the duck the next year. But it left her not being able to have pups.
Yes she and I have been through a lot together. She was my best friend. I could talk to her anytime I needed to and she just listen and loved me back. It's hard but I know where she is and that I will see her again.

Even more bad new. Just got off the phone with my brother and found Sandy (Christian 2 year old yellow lab) dead in the road. I guess she dug out her her pen looking for Gracie.
